This methodological material is primarily intended for primary and secondary school teachers as support for modern forms of teaching. It integrates knowledge from history, geography, natural sciences, languages and the arts, and offers pupils the opportunity to learn through experiential and digital education.
The Actionbound application represents an innovative tool that enables the creation of interactive activities such as digital treasure hunts, thematic walks and quizzes linked to specific locations. When completing these activities, pupils actively move in the field, solve tasks and connect theoretical knowledge with the real environment.
Within teaching, the application can be used for:
- thematic excursions and exploratory field activities,
- interactive revision of subject matter through quizzes,
- project-based learning and the creation of pupils’ own digital activities,
- the development of cooperation and communication in teams,
- integrating multiple subjects within a single learning unit.
Depending on the subject focus, the application can be used, for example:
- in history to explore historical sites and events,
- in natural sciences to investigate the natural environment,
- in languages to develop communication and interpretative skills,
- in the arts to explore cultural heritage and architecture.
The main benefits of using the application include:
- increased pupil motivation through active engagement,
- development of critical, creative and digital thinking,
- support for experiential and collaborative learning,
- the possibility to adapt content to a specific location and learning objectives.
Methodological recommendations for teachers include:
- verifying pupils’ technical equipment and organising group work,
- testing prepared activities before implementation,
- selecting appropriate application tools according to lesson objectives,
- involving pupils in creating their own activities (so-called “Bounds”),
- joint evaluation and reflection after completing the activity.
